जीरो बजट प्राकृतिक खेती के पोषक सूत्र - नाइट्रोजन, Nitrogen - भाग 2

एक शोध में 1200 किलो नाइट्रोजन स्थिर नाइट्रोजन-समृद्ध बायोमास व 35 टन शुष्क बायोमास प्रति हेक्टेयर नाइट्रोजन-उर्वरक मुक्त उत्पादन किया गया (Brouwer et al. 2017)। इस शोध में दोपहर के समय सबसे ज्यादा नाट्रोजन स्थिरीकरण पाया गया है। 2017 में PDFSR, Modipuram की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार गुरूकुल कुरूक्षेत्र में तैयार किये गये फसलीय पूरकों का विशलेषण इस प्रकार है:

यदि ऊपरवर्णित दोनों तालिकाओं में नाइट्रोजन की उपलब्द्धता पर ध्यान दिया जाए तो फसल को पूरक (Supplemental) नाइट्रोजन देने की आवश्यकता ही नहीं होती है।

रासायानिक खेती: परम्परागत (रासायानिक) कृषि में फसल किस्म के चयन खासतौर पर पूरक उर्वरक उपलब्द्धता के आधार पर बढ़ती है (Evenson and Gollin 2003)। लेकिन इस उपलब्द्ध पूरक नाइट्रोजन में से केवल 50 प्रतिशत ही पौधों को उपलब्द्ध होती है,  जिसके परिणामस्वरूप आसपास के पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के अवांछित यूट्रोफिकेशन का परिणाम होता है। कृत्रिम नाइट्रोजन उर्वरकों के उत्पादन में लगभग 1-2 प्रतिशत जीवाश्म ईंधन व्युत्पित ऊर्जा का उपयोग किया जाता है जो कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड प्रदूषण के कारण प्रमुख योगदानकर्ता के रूप में जाना जाता है (Erisman et al. 2008)। इसके अलावा, विनाइट्रीकरण (Denitrification) के कारण व्यर्थ नाइट्रोजन उर्वरकों के कारण नाइट्रोजन ऑक्साइड के मुक्त होने से ग्रीन हाउस वार्मिंग प्रभाव कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड की तुलना में 300 गुणा तक बढ़ जाता है (Galloway et al. 2004)। अत: कहा जा सकता है कि रासायानिक खेती जहरीली होने के साथ-साथ विश्व व्यापी समस्याओं को बढ़ाती है।

जैविक खेती: जैविक खेती पद्धति मंहगी होने के कारण किसान इसको अपनाने में असमर्थ हैं।

जीरो बजट प्राकृतिक खेती: जीरो बजट प्राकृतिक खेती में किसी भी प्रकार के रासायन का उपयोग नही किया जाता है। इसमें कृषि उत्पादन में उपयोग किये जाने वाले किसी भी रासायानिक या जैविक उत्पाद (खाद या दवाई) को खरीदने के लिए किसान को बाजार पर निर्भर रहने की आवश्यकता नहीं होती है।
