Longest Span Suspension Bridge
Akashi Kaikyo is the longest span suspension bridge in the world. It is located in Kobe-Awaji Island, Japan. The main span of the bridge is 1991 meter which was completed in 1998. It links the Islands Honshu and Shikoku in eastern part.
Longest Cable (Steel) Stayed Bridge
In China Jiashao bridge is the longest and widest eight lane, multi-tower cable stayed bridge in the world. It was completed in 2013. Its main span is 10.1 kilometers across Hangzhou bay connecting Jiaxing and Shaozing cities of Zhejiang province.
Longest Arched (Steel) Bridge
Lupu in Shanghai (China) is the longest steel arched bridge in the world. Its length is 550 meter. It links between central Shanghai and Pudong and cross over the Huangpujiang (Huang Pu) river. It was built in 2003.
Longest Cantilever (Steel Truss) Bridge
The Pont de Quebec in the Quebec City (Japan) is longest steel truss cantilever bridge in the world. It was built in 1917. Its length is 549 meter. It provides railway crossing over Saint Lawrence River.
Longest Beamed (Steel Truss) Bridge
Ikitsuki Ohashi in Nagasaki (Japan) is the longest steel trussed bridge in the world. It was built in 1991 with a length of 400 meters to connect the islands of Iki and Hirado in off northwest Kyushu.
