Morphological characters

Body: Tall, large, well built, thick, massive

Body coat: Mostly white coloured; Below chin, the upper part of neck are covered with hairs.

Forehead: Wide

Face: Short

Nose: Roman type,

Mouth: With big dummy lips

Average body weight:  at birth - male – 53 kg, female – 50 kg; Adult males – 745 kg, females – 735 kg

Leg Length: Forelimb - 149 cm; Hindlimb - 157 cm

Body length: 152 cm

Heart girth: 221 cm

Height at withers: 201 cm

Neck length: 125 cm

Reproductive traits

Breeding age: 4 years

Calving interval: 802 days

Production traits

Milk production per lactation: 2040 kg

Lactation length: 538 days

Fibre production: 3.7 kg per annum

Remarks: This breed has higher stamina while walking on road, with load. Therefore, used for carrying loads of varying types. These are not good for fast riding and mostly used for transport of agriculture commodities and fuel.
