Vitiligo, Leukoderma

In Leukoderma white hair grows at the site of trauma to the skin. Vitiligo is characterized by the development of nonpigmented skin with or without white hair. Depigmentation of the nose, lips, buccal mucosa or other areas developed during adulthood in several breeds of dogs and in Siamese cats.

Species affected: Bovine, Canine, Equine, Feline

Symptoms: Poliosis (general or focal); Skin hypopigmentation, vitiligo;

Public health importance: Not applicable.
